In the framework of the EU-funded Technical Assistance to Civil Society Organisations in Western Balkans and Turkey (EU TACSO 3) project, we are pleased to invite you to participate in the P2P event on “Building fundraising capacities for grassroots and community organisations” that will be held on 6 – 7 April 2022 in Prishtina.

Civil society in Kosovo plays a vital role in tackling social problems. Although many grassroots and community organisations exist, still there is a lack of funding opportunities to tackle critical issues at the local level. One of the main reasons for this problem is that many of these organisations struggle to develop proper fundraising strategies that would make them sustainable, fully functional, and operational for an extended period. Considering this aspect, the EU TACSO 3 project, in cooperation with the association Acton for Mothers and Children from Kosovo, will organise a P2P On-demand event/training for CSOs from Kosovo, aiming to empower grassroots community members to enhance their skills in long-term organisational sustainability.

The purpose is threefold:

  • Increase their knowledge on how to make their organisation more effective and sustainable at the local level;
  • Be able to apply a range of fundraising strategies, including online fundraising campaigns and fundraising with the private sector;
  • Be equipped with skills and knowledge in project proposal writing and project planning.

Through this training, representatives of local CSOs will have the opportunity to learn more about how to make their organisations more effective and sustainable at the local level. The training will last two days and will be divided into two thematic parts: (1) on the first day it will cover fundraising strategies, including here online fundraising campaigns and fundraising with the private sector; (2) on the second day; the training will be focused on grant writing and project planning.

The training will be concluded by awarding certificates for the participants in the training.

The event will gather up to 25 participants. All interested members and activists from local/grass-root organisations from Kosovo are eligible to apply. Selection will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority will be given to members of grassroots, young people and women.

The training will take place in Prishtina on 6 and 7 April 2022.

The event organiser will reimburse travel costs for participants outside of Prishtina.

If you are interested in attending the P2P event, please register here by Thursday, 31 March 2022.

The event will be held in the Albanian language.

Information for the event venue, along with the agenda and other details, will be sent to all selected participants prior to the event.
